How Happy Hoisters Inc. Supported SteelAsia Batangas Through Spare Parts Supply and Skid Loader Engine Overhaul

Happy Hoisters Inc.’s engagement with SteelAsia started with the inspection of five equipment units at the Meycauayan facility and later developed into an urgent engine overhaul and parts supply project for a vital skid loader at the Batangas facility.

Happy Hoisters Inc.’s working relationship with SteelAsia began at its Meycauayan facility, where our technical team was initially requested to inspect five different heavy equipment units. The inspection allowed our team to assess the condition of the equipment and identify the necessary repair and maintenance requirements. Before engaging Happy Hoisters Inc., SteelAsia Meycauayan had already sought assistance from three third-party technical teams for one of its equipment concerns. However, the previous service providers were unable to complete the required repair and eventually discontinued their work on the unit. Happy Hoisters Inc. subsequently took on the project, conducted a thorough technical assessment, and successfully restored the equipment to working condition. This result demonstrated our team’s technical capability and helped establish SteelAsia’s confidence in our services. Because of this successful engagement, SteelAsia later approached Happy Hoisters Inc. when another urgent equipment concern arose at its Batangas facility.

Prioritizing a Critical Unit

Skid loaders are commonly used for material handling, site cleaning, loading, and other demanding industrial applications. When a unit experiences serious engine problems, the resulting downtime can affect productivity and create delays in daily operations.

The objective of the project was to properly dismantle, inspect, clean, repair, reassemble, and test the engine before returning the skid loader to operational condition.

Engine Pullout

The project began with the careful removal of the engine from the skid loader. Before the pullout, the technicians disconnected the necessary electrical connections, hoses, fuel lines, mounting components, and supporting assemblies.

Removing the engine allowed the technical team to conduct a more thorough inspection and perform the required work in a controlled environment.

Engine Dismantling

After the engine was removed, the technicians proceeded with the dismantling process. Major engine components were carefully disassembled to identify worn, damaged, or defective parts.

Each component was checked to determine which parts could still be reused and which ones required replacement. Proper dismantling was essential to ensure that the underlying causes of the engine problem were addressed instead of only treating the visible symptoms.

Engine Cleaning

The dismantled engine components underwent a detailed cleaning process. Oil residue, dirt, carbon deposits, and other contaminants were removed from the engine parts.

Cleaning the components helped the technicians inspect the engine more accurately and prepared the parts for repair, replacement, and reassembly. It also reduced the risk of contaminants affecting the engine after restoration.

Supply of Engine Parts

Based on the findings during dismantling and inspection, Happy Hoisters Inc. supplied the necessary engine parts for the project.

Providing both the technical service and the required replacement parts helped streamline the repair process. It also allowed the team to verify that the supplied components were appropriate for the engine before installation.

Engine Reassembly and Testing

Once the required components were cleaned, repaired, or replaced, the engine was carefully reassembled. The technicians followed the proper installation sequence and checked the engine’s clearances, connections, lubrication points, and other critical components.

The engine was then tested to evaluate its starting condition, sound, oil circulation, temperature, and general performance. Any necessary adjustments were completed before the engine was installed back into the skid loader.

Final Unit Testing

After the engine installation, the complete skid loader underwent operational testing. The technicians checked the unit under actual operating conditions to confirm that the engine and related systems were functioning correctly.

The final testing included checking the unit’s movement, engine response, hydraulic operation, controls, and overall performance. This step ensured that the skid loader was ready to return to SteelAsia Batangas’ operations.
